Rotary District 5030 helps clubs put Rotary Foundation funds to work through local and international service projects, scholarships, and educational activities.
Whether your club is planning a community project, building a partnership with another club, or preparing for a larger international effort, this site will help you understand the right grant pathway and next steps.
District Grants
District Grants support club-led projects that address community needs locally and around the world. They are designed for smaller-scale projects, scholarships, and educational activities that include active Rotarian involvement and meaningful community impact.
District 5030 provides a guided process for club qualification, application, review, reporting, and stewardship.

District Grant Timeline 2026
Proposal Window:

Clubs must be qualified annually before applying for District Grants. Before beginning the application, make sure your club has completed the required training and has current qualification documents ready to upload.
Required documents include:
• Signed Club MOU
• Club Stewardship Plan
• Club Financial Management Plan
Global Grants
Global Grants support larger international projects with sustainable, measurable outcomes. These grants are aligned with Rotary’s Areas of Focus and require strong planning, qualified Rotary partners, and long-term community benefit.
Global Grant applications are completed through Rotary’s Grant Center and follow The Rotary Foundation’s requirements.

Scholarship Note:
Applications for scholars beginning studies in August, September, or October should be submitted to The Rotary Foundation by June 30.
Not Sure Where to Begin?
Most clubs should begin with District Grants. District Grants are the best starting point for local service projects, smaller international projects, scholarships, and educational activities supported through District 5030.
If your project is larger, international, already has qualified Rotary partners, and is designed for long-term sustainable impact, the Global Grants pathway may be the better fit.
Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus
Rotary grant projects often align with one or more Areas of Focus. For District Grants over $5,000, alignment with an Area of Focus is required. For smaller District Grants, alignment is strongly encouraged.
